This panel features experts from varying fields of advertising and public relations. Panelists work in social media careers at Amazon, Tik Tok, Pereira O’Dell, Red Light Management and Reprise Digital. Don’t miss these awesome professionals with awesome advice.
Moderator:
Kate Hartman is a senior majoring in Advertising in the School of ADPR. She has her own experience in an agency setting — she currently acts as a part-time associate media planner at an agency in San Francisco when she’s not busy studying. She loves ADPR and is thrilled to be moderating this session!
Panel:
Madison Broussard began her career within the music and entertainment industry in 2018. As a fresh University of Alabama Public Relations alum, she knew she wanted to move to the city of music, Nashville Tennessee, and jump straight into the deep end. She quickly began her career when working for AristoMedia Group but transitioned to Red Light Management and now specializes in a Digital Marketing role. She currently manages multiple groups of varying artists and musicians from the rock band Moon Taxi, to country artists like Riley Green. Broussard finds thrill within the different day-to-day interactions of individuals within the industry. She problem solves to develop targeted strategies to reach and persuade particular audiences within the social media realm.
Matt Cleary, As TikTok’s Vertical Director of Retail and Restaurants, Matt is focused on leading a world-class sales team to help brands activate at scale on TikTok and meaningfully engage with the community. He joined the company in 2020, as Head of Central region, where he was responsible for establishing the platform’s midwest operations and leading the strategy and execution of agency and brand direct partnerships. Prior to TikTok, Matt spent 12 years creating global media solutions and partnerships for both startups and Fortune 500 companies, such as Nextdoor, Twitter, Apple and Disney. Matt attended The University of Tennessee, Knoxville and graduated with a degree in Advertising in 2008. Hecurrently resides in Chicago.
Armando Sanchez-Monsivais graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in May of 2019. Armando majored in advertising and minored in informatics. During his time in undergrad, he gained valuable leadership experience including VP of Promotions for American Marketing Association, president of American Advertising federation, and undergraduate research for the University of Illinois Department of Advertising. In addition to this incredible leadership experience, he also held an internship with DDB Chicago and GT Universe. All of his hard work paid off, landing him a position with Amazon after graduation where he is currently working as an Associate Account Executive and has consulted 80 advertisers in various areas, educated advertisers on upper funnel advertising, as well as assisted in delivering towards $1M of bonus media Garth Brooks. While his achievements clearly show his dedication to his field, he is also an avid lover of laptop stickers, lego sets, and How I Met Your Mother.
Rebecca Nanez began her education at Front Range Community College and then continued on to University of Colorado, Denver where she majored in communications. She then spent a year at University of Denver in the Denver Publishing Institute. While in school, she interned with The Walt Disney Company. She then accepted an internship with Pereira O’Dell, leading to a full time position as their Community Manager.
Steven Woods has worked at NYC media agencies for 5+ years on accounts such as American Express, Energizer, and Purina. Currently he services the E&J Gallo Winery account as the Paid Social Manager at Reprise Digital agency. Steven graduated with a degree in Advertising from UTK in 2016.
